The end of the year will be here before you know it! So, join us on October 23rd for our FREE Forum, “2025 – A Look Back & What Lies Ahead”. We will take a look back at the regulatory news that has come down the pipe in the last year and will also discuss what’s on the horizon for 2026. This Forum is a fan-favorite and is a checklist of sorts to make sure you haven’t missed anything big and that you don’t forget about things you may need to prep your management team for.
One topic on that list are the June 27th (OCC, FDIC & NCUA) and July 31st (Fed) Orders that provide financial institutions with greater flexibility when it comes to obtaining customer tax identification numbers (TINs). This flexibility assumes, of course, that the bank still complies with all other requirements of their Customer Identification Program (CIP). So, for example, while a TIN may now be obtained from a third party, it must still be obtained prior to opening the account.
We hope to see you there!!
