The CFPB has released a [check digit tool](https://cfpb.github.io/hmda-platform-tools/check-digit/) for entries on the 2018 Loan Application Register.  This tool generates a two-character check digit to complete the Universal Loan Identifier (ULI). It also validates the ULI.
