HMDA: Manufactured Homes

When it comes to HMDA, there are some things to be aware of when dealing with manufactured homes. First, if a manufactured home was constructed prior to June 15, 1976, it is not considered a dwelling for HMDA purposes. Second, any manufactured home constructed after that date and that does not bear a HUD Certification Label is a dwelling for HMDA purposes but not a manufactured dwelling. To be a manufactured dwelling, it must be meet both conditions (date and certification). This distinction comes into play when reporting certain data on your HMDA LAR.
