FinCEN has [renewed](https://www.fincen.gov/news/news-releases/fincen-issues-modified-southwest-border-geographic-targeting-order), with some changes, a [Geographic Targeting Order](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2025/09/10/2025-17371/geographic-targeting-order-imposing-recordkeeping-and-reporting-requirements-on-certain-money) (GTO) which requires certain money service businesses in Arizona, California and Texas to report transactions involving currency from $1,000 to $10,000.  This GTO is effective September 10, 2025, through March 6, 2026.

Money Service Businesses (MSBs) that were not required to report under the March Order were granted a 30-day compliance period and will not be required to report until October 10th.
