The [asset-size threshold](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/12/21/2016-30731/home-mortgage-disclosure-regulation-c-adjustment-to-asset-size-exemption-threshold) used to determine [HMDA](https://www.bankerscompliance.com/banking-regulations-compliance-services/reviews-2/hmda/) (12 CFR 1003) applicability will remain unchanged from the 2016 amount. The threshold will be $44 million for 2017.

While the threshold remains unchanged, the test to determine if your bank will be subject to HMDA in 2017 has changed. Please refer to the CFPB’s HMDA coverage [flowchart](http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201510_cfpb_2017-hmda-institutional-coverage.pdf) for more information.
