We’ve been encouraging banks for the past several years to file CTRs and SARs electronically. It looks like it may soon be a requirement. On September 14, 2011, FinCEN proposed a mandatory requirement to e-file by June 2012. If you don’t like the idea, be sure to make your comments known. Otherwise, we encourage you to sign up for e-filing now…why wait?
