It’s no secret that Section 1071 is up in the air. No one really knows for sure how it will all shake out. Will the rule go away completely? (slim chance). Will the rule be rewritten? (most likely). Will a rewritten rule look anything like what was supposed to go into effect? (who knows). Regardless of where you were at in your 1071 implementation process when all the craziness started, the one thing we strongly encourage you to do is keep your Board informed.
