What’s a dwelling?  While that seems like a strange question to ask because the answer seems so simple, when comes to HMDA it can get a little murky.  For HMDA to apply, you have to have a loan secured by a dwelling and it must be for a HMDA-specified purpose.  When it comes to what is and what isn’t a dwelling, HMDA has a few little quirks.
