HMDA Guide: GIR Updated

Written by Amy Kudlacek | Apr 25, 2022 2:46:24 PM

The FFIEC recently posted the 2022 Edition of its publication, A Guide to HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right!. While it doesn’t appear many updates were made, it does include the adjusted loan-volume threshold for reporting open-end lines of credit, which took effect January 1, 2022. As a reminder, you’re an open-end reporter if you originated at least 200 reportable open-end lines of credit in each of the prior two calendar years.

This Guide provides a good summary of the HMDA data collection, reporting, and disclosure requirements but is not intended to be a substitution for the Regulation and/or Commentary or the FFIEC’s Filing Instruction Guide (FIG), which are the “definitive” sources for the HMDA requirements.

If you are a HMDA-reporting institution, you know just how tough compliance can be. We can help! We have a wide variety of webinars on various HMDA-related topics that will get or keep you on the right track!
