FDIC Signage

Changes are coming with respect to how you advertise FDIC insured and non-FDIC insured products. The changes are housed in Part 328 (Subpart A) – FDIC Official Signs and Advertisement of Membership and were originally set to take effect January 1, 2025, however that has since been delayed to May 1, 2025. While the temporary reprieve is nice, that doesn’t mean you should slow down your implementation efforts. You will likely need to make changes to signage on your institution’s premises, on your ATMs and any of your digital deposit taking channels. As it relates to the premises, you will still be required to display the 7” x 3”, gold and black official sign, however, if you offer non-deposit products like insurance, investments, etc., there are some additional considerations related to signage.
