Let’s Go on a Cruise!

I recently had a conversation with my friend, Paul Osborne, from Crowe LLP. He brought up the idea of a Compliance Cruise and I instantly lit up! I explained to him that I’ve actually been tossing around this idea for years. We went to work right away! Crazy? Yes. But wouldn’t it be oh so much fun?

As you know, we’ve been holding compliance conferences for over 25 years, so we know how to put on a valuable training event. We’ve also got some of the best instructors in the nation lined up. Speakers would include Dave Dickinson, Jerod Moyer, Paul Osborne and more!

We’re currently looking at hosting a Compliance Cruise through Celebrity Cruise Lines (an upscale cruise ship) in January 2020. This 5-day cruise would depart from Miami, Florida, with stops in Key West and Cozumel. The compliance training would take place during our two days at sea and there would be also be some short sessions on the days in port. One other benefit is that you would have access to the speakers throughout the entire cruise.

If you’ve ever attended a national training conference, you know they are expensive. Registration, lodging (typically $250-300/night) and food, which all can easily add up to over $3,000. What’s so great about this cruise is that for as little as $1,600, you get all the food you want to eat, a room to yourself and top-notch compliance training sessions – it’s all included! See the attached flyer for more details.

The cruise line would like to have a firm number by September 12th so if you are seriously interested about this amazing opportunity, we need to hear from you soon! Obviously, there are a lot of logistical issues to work out and we need to get an idea as to how many people want to join us. Please email us at training@bankerscompliance.com with the subject line “Compliance Cruise” and let us know if you would like to attend.

We think this is going to be a great adventure full of both compliance training and fun!
