The Federal Reserve recently highlighted an uptick in Regulation E violations in its Consumer Compliance Outlook (First Issue 2026), which looked at frequently cited violations from examinations in 2024. Similarly, the FDIC’s Spring 2026 Supervisory Highlights noted that of its top five cited regulations, Regulation E, which was previously number four, jumped to the second spot for examinations conducted in 2025.
