Section 1071: Understanding the Agricultural Exclusion

Agricultural credit will not be subject to 1071 requirements. That means credit granted for an agricultural purpose should not be considered within an institution’s origination volume when determining 1071 coverage status and, for covered institutions, applications involving an agricultural purpose are not to be reported. Agricultural credit includes any …transaction to fund the production of crops, fruits, vegetables, and livestock, or to fund the purchase or refinance of capital assets such as farmland, machinery and equipment, breeder livestock, and farm real estate improvements.
