CFPB Releases 2025 FIG
For those looking to get a jumpstart on 2025, the CFPB has released the 2025 Filing Instructions Guide (FIG) for HMDA. The CFPB issues a FIG each year to update examples for certain fields that require a date to be reported (e.g., the application date). Sometimes, other codes are updated or added as well.
There were no significant changes in the 2025 FIG for either the codes or any associated data fields. There are however, some new and revised edit codes.
Also note, the CFPB updated its Supplemental Guide for Quarterly Filers for 2024.
