CFPB's Spring 2025 Rulemaking Agenda

The CFPB recently issued its Spring 2025 Rulemaking Agenda, which it plans to work on through May 2026.  It is quite ambitious, to say the least, as it includes 24 items in either the pre-rule, proposed rule or final rule stages.

Some notables on the list include:

  • UDAAP
  • Loan Originator Compensation Rule (Regulation Z)
  • Mortgage Servicing Rules (Regulations Z & X)

It appears the CFPB is anticipating the issuance of proposed rules for Section 1033 by the end of December and Section 1071 by the end of October.  If you are not a member of our 1071 Thought Leadership, Implementation & Planning Membership Group, join us to learn all about the upcoming proposal and eventual final rule.

Jerod Moyer discussed a few of these items during our September Monthly Connection.
