Advertising is one of those areas of compliance that can be affected by a lot of different regulations, and it depends on whether you are advertising loan products and services or deposit products and services. This can make things very confusing. While there are some similarities, there are a lot of differences. On social media, what if we trigger additional disclosures but the social media platform doesn't allow us to link to a website for more information and disclosures? Can we just include the website address and have the customer go find it themselves? Or should we type out all of the fine print on the social media post?
