Modified Southwest Border GTO Issued

FinCEN has renewed, with some changes, a Geographic Targeting Order (GTO) which requires certain money service businesses in Arizona, California and Texas to report transactions involving currency from $1,000 to $10,000.  This GTO is effective September 10, 2025, through March 6, 2026.

Money Service Businesses (MSBs) that were not required to report under the March Order were granted a 30-day compliance period and will not be required to report until October 10th.
